Mr. Leo Puri
Mr. Leo Puri is a dual Masters degree holder from Oxford and Cambridge University, UK. In his professional career of more than 30 years, Mr. Puri has worked as Director and Senior Advisor with McKinsey & Company and as Managing Director with Warburg Pincus. Mr. Puri has worked in the United Kingdom and United States of America previously. Since 1994, he has been based in India.
In McKinsey, he advised leading financial institutions, conglomerates and investment institutions in strategy and operational issues. He has led client engagements at leading global financial institutions in Asia with specific focus on South-East Asia and India. He developed Strategies and implementation programs at a number of India’s leading companies and multinationals in the Financial Services, Engineering and Energy industries. He has contributed to the development of knowledge and public policy through advice to regulators and government officials.
At Warburg Pincus, he was responsible for leading and managing investments across industries in India. He also contributed to Global Financial services companies in the portfolio. Mr. Puri has extensive experience of leading Strategy and Transformation engagements in the context of economic reforms and deregulation. This includes the largest public and private sector financial institutions in India. Mr Puri has held non-executive board positions in Infosys, Bennett Coleman & Co., Max New York Life and Max Bupa Health Insurance.
Mr. Henry G. Hagan
Mr. Henry G. Hagan possesses more than 30 years of broad business experience encompassing sales and marketing, business operations, acquisitions, and leadership and governance. He began his career in 1975 with Southern Life Insurance Company of North Carolina, then from 1981-2010 held executive positions of increasing responsibility with Monumental Life Insurance Company – An AEGON Company, culminating in his tenure as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer from 2002-2010.
A graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A., Political Science) and The University of Virginia Colgate Darden School of Business Administration (M.B.A., with Honors), he has served on the boards of numerous corporate, professional, civic, charitable and educational organizations, institutions and foundations. He is a Fellow of both the Life Management Institute (with Distinction) and the LIMRA Leadership Institute and also a Board Governance Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Mr. Tan Woon Hum
Mr Tan Woon Hum is currently a partner of Shook Lin & Bok LLP, a Singapore law firm and has been with the firm since December 2003. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a LLB (Honours) Degree in 1995 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1996. Mr Tan obtained his MBA (Finance) from the University of Leicester in 2000. He has been in private legal practice since 1996 and specializes in trust, asset and wealth management. He advises on the establishment of traditional and alternative funds including related licences and exemptions for fund management companies, as well as the establishment and listing of REITS.
Mr. Praveen Jagwani
Mr. Praveen Jagwani, CEO – UTI International Ltd. & UTI International Singapore Pte. Limited. Praveen has 22 years of experience in financial services and has been with UTI International since 2009. He started his career with ANZ Grindlays Bank and worked with them in India, Australia and Bahrain across Credit, Consumer Finance, Systems & Private Banking. He later joined Standard Chartered Bank and built the Wealth Management and Investment Advisory business in the Middle East. He was appointed the Chief Investment Officer for Middle East & South Asia and was responsible for Product, Research, Certification and Compliance. He then joined Merrill Lynch and worked with them in London and Dubai in their Hedge Fund & Private Equity Advisory business. Praveen holds a graduate degree in Computer Science (B.Sc.) and a Masters degree in Operations Research (M.Sc) from Delhi University. He also has a Masters of Business Administration from XLRI Jamshedpur and has completed the Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA) program from CFA institute USA.
Mrs. Shobha Menon
Mrs. Shobha Menon has more than 15 years of experience in the Banking and Finance Industry. She has been with the Investment Manager since July 2008. She has previously worked with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Singapore, AVP Compliance (Dy. Compliance Officer) and ICICI Bank, Singapore as the Compliance Manager. She holds a law degree (L.L.B) and a Bachelors degree in Commerce. She is also a Chartered Accountant.
Mr. Imtaiyazur Rahman
Mr. Imtaiyazur Rahman has about 25 years of experience in management and business leadership. In UTI AMC, he heads the functions of Finance, Accounts, Taxation and Board related matters. He is in charge of the Global operations of the company. He also heads Information Technology, Administration, Estates, Fund Management (Dealing Section–Administration) and co-ordinates the Private Equity arm of UTI AMC. In the past, he has held the position of Head, Human Resources.
Mr. Rahman is on the Board of UTI International (Singapore), Offshore Funds of UTI International, and Invest India Micro Pension Ltd. He is a Member on Investment Committee of Ascent Capital (PE). He is a Director on the Board of Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI). He has been the Convenor of the AMFI Committee on Foreign Investment. He is also on the Investment Committee & Capital Market Committee of IMC.
He has been with the UTI Group since 1998 and with the UTI AMC since 2003. Prior to UTI AMC, he has worked with Bells Controls Ltd., Leasing Finance India Ltd. and Sumeet Machines Ltd. etc. Mr. Rahman is a Science graduate, FICWA, FCS, CPA (USA) and GAMP (ISB-Kellogg).
Mr. Mark Tennant FRSA
Mark has had a career in the City of London which has spanned 43 years and included executive responsibilities in sales, marketing, strategy and portfolio management. He has held a number of CEO and chairmanship roles. He retired from JP Morgan in March 2018 after 27 years, 15 of which were in senior roles in Global Custody and then subsequently in the Investment Bank.
During his career he has worked in both Hong Kong and New York
Prior to joining the City he was a nurse and was then commissioned into the Scots Guards where he served for 7 years
He is currently Chairman of BMOGAM Private Equity Trust plc, Chairman of Centrica Pensions and a Trustee of the Royal Hospital Chelsea
